While the top ciders in London are typically made by large brands and dominate the varieties which are offered in London, there are still several independent cider bars who are increasing in popularity, serving the Nation's capital with real cider from small-batch producers.
The craft cider is slowly taking hold in London and with CraftyNectar.trade just launched it is soon to get bigger!
In no particular order below are London’s best cider bars that serve these fine craft ciders.
The first Cathedral to Cider in the capital city was opened in 2016. Located on Whitechapel Road, just a short stroll from Aldgate East underground, they’ve got a beautiful grand building filled with what can arguably be described as London’s greatest, most diverse cider offering with over 80 real ciders.
They have live music and “Tuck in Tuesday” with selected pizzas, side salad and a drink for £10.

If you love craft cider or want to learn more then this is the place for you. They have dedicated cider taproom which offers a range of amazing cider alongside their very own creations - such as Urban Orchard, Soul Trader and Graff.
It doesn't stop there.
Hawkes taproom is home to regular events such as guest producer appearances, taproom takeovers, and new cider creations and innovations from the Hawkes team.
Craft beers and real ales of London can be found here. Delicious perry and sweet cider along with a variety of kegs are on this roster of all varieties. A must visit as The Joly Butchers are already CAMRA nominated after only one year in business and one of the Guardian’s top 10 Cider Bars in the UK.

Located in Stockwell, this pub has gained popularity because of its amazing variety of brews on tap. All of those handles are the first thing you see. Mull over all of the cider varieties and note the sizeable variety of crafted beer. Grab a pint of the Whisky Cask cider which comes from East Lothian’s Thistly Cross. It has a bit of a Scottish flavor.
There are several other cider versions straight from Sandford Orchards including the powerful 6 percent Devon Scrumpy or Fanny’s Bramble which is flavored with blackberry.
Inspired by Folklore, there is gin infused by the owner himself, Mr. Kevin Doody, in stock for patrons as well as cider. There is a bag-in-box collection which rotates every few days and a number of more potent ciders like Dog Dancer or Janet’s Jungle Juice.

Located near Trafalgar Square, this is quite a brewery with real cider made from local independents on the draw. Cider lovers drink up one of any eight ciders on tap at any time, going through about 2-3 boxes each day. Be assured your cider will be fresh.
Overall a great pub in the heart of London – CAMRA’s West London Pub of the Year 2014 and a great stop off for cider-loving tourists.
The ciders at this hip bar are sourced straight from the producer. Try a bit of the barrel of Ben Crossman’s Prime Farmhouse Cider. Real ales and local craft beers can also be found here. Watch out for their infamous Ciderdog Festival in July where they celebrate small cider producers and pints come as cheap as £2.50. An absolute steal in London!
Ale. Cider. Meat. This is a favourite pub with a wide variety of real ale produced by independent breweries. The choices of eight real ciders are hand drawn straight from the cellars. There are no fancy flavours, just a rotating choice of ciders. Cash only please!
Another pub that is fairly new, the Howl gained much attention when the Arctic Monkeys shot a music video there. While listening to the ambient music, try Happy Daze or Crazy Goat ciders or drink from the keg.

Located in Fitzrovia, this pub has a number of keg ciders but these are not the common mass-produced low-fruit parodies. The main supplier is Westons of Much Marcle in Herefordshire, but there are several carbonated cloudy or “real” ciders on tap. Enjoy the young ambiance and the Indie music.
Another top favourite, the fermented apple juice is the soul of this newer pub with a total of six ciders on draught. No frills here either but several full-flavour ciders on keg. The Wenlock Arms was also awarded CAMRA’s London Cider Pub of the Year in 2009 due to its quality and selection of craft cider.
This is a Pub serving independently brewed beer and cider as well as some pretty tasty food! They also hold a yearly beer and cider festival featuring 60 ales and ciders from the most progressive, independent breweries/makers in the UK!
