ABOUT THIS PRODUCT
Tom Oliver makes his ciders and perries on his family's farm in the village of Ocle Pychard, Herefordshire, England.
The philosophy at Olivers Cider and Perry is to "take what the fruit gives", respecting the great heritage and traditions of the past but with an eye for future innovation. All of Tom's ciders and perries are fermented by wild yeasts in small batches, using fresh pressed fruit with minimal intervention.
Tom Oliver is highly respected by other cider makers and a master at the challenging art of making fine perry. He regularly collaborates with other cider makers and is considered one of the best in the world winning numerous awards from the Royal Bath & West British Cider Championship in the UK to GLINTCAP in the USA.
"This cider has a clear slightly pale golden colour with just a little fizz to it. It has a distinctly funky Oliver’s smell to it, some of the others I’ve tried in the past all have a similarity to them, hope I’m not on my own by thinking that ahah!
Tangy is the main word I’d use to describe this one, it’s starts off tart with some real rich fruityness going on too. It’s finish is dry, woody and tannic to level it all out - banging!" (Cider George)
