8 Cider Cocktails to Try This Autumn
Autumn is just about upon us again and this time make sure you’re prepared with plenty of festive cider cocktails that you can easily concoct when you’re in the mood. Nothing like sitting by a crackling fire with a glass of craft cider in hand to kick off the autumn season.
So here we go.
Citrusy Cider, Scotch, and Lavender
Combine ½ oz simple syrup, ¾ oz fresh lemon juice, 2 oz of Scotch, 4 oz of apple syrup, and shake vigorously. Carefully add a lemon wedge and lavender.
Cider Dark & Stormy
Combine ¼ oz of fresh lime juice, 2 oz of dark rum, and 2 oz of apple cider, Pour into an ice-filled glass. Add 4 oz of ginger beer. Garnish with a wedge of lime and some fresh apple slices. Enjoy!
Gingery Cider with Tequila
In a shaker add 1 tbsp of fresh mint leaves, 1 small piece of sliced fresh ginger, 1 strip lemon zest, and 1 tsp of agave. Add 4 oz of apple cider, 2 oz of Tequila, and ice. Shake vigorously. Place a mint sprig in glass and serve.
Cider Shandy
In a tall glass combine 6 oz of lager and 6 oz of apple cider. Garnish with a slice of orange. Bottoms up!
In a cocktail shaker muddle 1 tbsp of fresh mint leaves and 3 slices of jalapeno. Add ¼ oz simple syrup, ¾ oz fresh lime juice, 2 oz mescal, and 4 oz of apple cider. Shake vigorously. Serve it up with a mint spring.
Cider Bellini
Pour ½ oz of apple cider into a champagne flute. Top it off with your choice of sparkling wine, like champagne or Prosecco. Garnish with 1 sprig of fresh rosemary. Indulge!
Fall Cider Sangra
The following serves 8. Combine 8 oz of apple brandy, 1 bottle of white wine (750ml) and 32 oz of apple cider. Add in 1 slice of apple, 1 slice of pear, and 1 slice of orange. Chill overnight or for at least 4 hours before serving.
Cider & Pomegranate Margarita
Tip the rim of your glass in water and then salt. Combine ½ oz of simple syrup, ½ oz fresh lime, 2 oz of Tequila, 2 oz of pomegranate juice, 4 oz of apple cider, and shake vigorously. Strain into glass. Sip and enjoy!
