The bottles in this box have a unique story to tell, created to shine brighter than your average craft cider. Treat them in the appropriate way and serve them in a wine glass just slightly chilled, and I have no doubt that you will find them all delicious in their own characterful way.

Fine Cider Tasting Notes

  1. 6 Somewhere - Premier Cru Dry 5.5% ABV - France

The Dupont Family in Normandie have been expertly crafting their Cidre for over 125 years. The Premier Cru is made with delicious Binet and Petit Jaune apples which gives it really moreish taste. The product itself is naturally fermented using the keeving method which means no added suger, no added flavours and only 100% apple juice.

  1. Angioletti - Secco 5% ABV - Italy

Made in Italy, Angioletti Secco is a delightfully light and refreshing sparkling craft cider; it has aromas of fresh apple and white blossom followed by intense, fresh flavours of orchard fruits, and a satisfying, clean, crisp aftertaste. A really beautiful alternative to Prosecco or Champagne.

  1. Olivers Cider - BC Dry 5.3% ABV - Herefordshire

Made by the Legend that is Tom Oliver, one of the UK’s finest cider makers. This cider is a rich, golden cider with strong effervescence. The aromatic nose hints at spicy plum puddings, apple skins and autumnal orchard floor. On tasting the sparkle lifts the apple skin phenolics and the long, drying tannins gives a very full pleasing mouthfeel and finish. Store upright and Chill well and pour with care.

  1. Pilton CIder - Tamoshanta 4.7% ABV - Somerset

A fruity keeved cider, partially fermented in oak barrels. Keeving and initial fermentation takes place in large vats, but on Burns Night the young cider is transferred to Scotch whisky barrels to finish and mature. Medium sweet with smokey vanilla tannin and an oaky finish.

  1. West Milton Cider Co. - Lancombe Rising 5% ABV - Dorset

This fine cider is again made using the ancient art of Keeving, which produces a very slow, full-flavoured fermentation. It is bottled while still young, retaining the natural sugars, to finish with a medium taste, fine natural sparkle and a nutty, caramel background. This cider was the 2017 winner of Supreme Champion at the Royal Bath and West Show.

  1. Worleys Cider - Special Reserve 5.4% ABV

Worley's Special Reserve is made from 100% pure cider apple juice and is keeved. This creates a naturally sparkling cider of outstanding fruity character with subtle undertones of caramel. It has sweeetness and rounded tannins lifted by a long-lasting carbonation. A great party drink - sweet and fizzy with a satifying 'pop' when uncorked!

Please note though that all of these fine ciders are bottle-conditioned which results in a natural sediment. Please store and chill upright to allow the sediment to settle and pour with care to leave sediment in the bottle.
