New to Craft Cider? Why not try 6 of the best ciders in the UK to get your taste buds going!. Each Month we taste and select a different theme, so you can keep on tasting great new ciders - the perfect way to taste great new ciders each Month.
This Month we have tasted and selected a range of single variety ciders from one of the great cider-apple varieties - Yarlington Mill. You may think they will all be the same, but we have from Dry to Medium-sweet and a still as well.
You will get one 500ml bottle each of:
Newton Court x River Cottage collab – 6.2%, Herefordshire – Medium Sweet
A sparkling medium sweet with fruity notes, balanced acidity and good tannins too, amazing to get all 3 from the one single variety. Light, easy drinking and apparently pairs especially well with goats cheese and pork pies.
Ross Cider Yarlington Mill SV – 6.5%, Herefordshire
Albert makes a wonderful range of single variety ciders at Ross, and his wild ferment Yarlington Mill is one of the best and most accessible. Typically very juicy with elements of clove and nutmeg, perfectionist Albert says this vintage is not quite to his usual standards, but we think its lovely.
Bere Cider Company Yarlington Mill – 6% Medium, Langport, Somerset
A new single variety addition to the Bere portfolio, freshly bottled just before the case was packed! A deep rich red colour after the fruit, with good aroma and great balance. A great example of its kind.
Rawlins Family Yarlington Mill – 6.2% Medium Still, Ilminster, Somerset
Simon Rawlins is really making some great cider, and to be a little different here, we have got a still cider, made from half-keeved (sweeter) and half dry Yarlington, blended to give a lovely medium with good depth of flavour and balance.
Temple Yarlington Mill – 6.5% Dry, Beaminster, Dorset
Paul is making some lovely cider from his farm in Dorset and makes his “Yarly” only with fallen apples, hand-picked off the floor when ripe, repeated again a Month later to get all the best fruit. The result is a dry, very drinkable, light bodied lightly sparkling cider.
King Brain Organic Yarlington Mill – 6.5% Medium, Sparkford, Somerset
John is the 5th generation to farm, the slopes of Cadbury, near Sparkford, less than 3 miles from Yarlington itself. An apple doesn’t fall far from the tree! Now farming Organically, their Yarlington is a lighter, crisp cider, with great appley aroma
These craft ciders are not like anything you will be able to find in supermarkets in the UK, they are specialist small batch products that have been chosen for their quality. This Month one supplier was so small, we bought all his remaining stock!
If ordering a 12 pack discovery box please be aware that this will be 2 boxes of 6

Great selection, easy to drink but proper ciders. 3 made it into my top 10 list!
Order status is down as returned , they have not responded to any messages when chasing up and trying to sort this thoroughly disappointed and have paid £32.99 for nothing
As I have emailed you three or more times without response for you, therefore I shall contact my bank, and STOP any and all payments to your company
Great service as usual, just one problem I did email saying I just wanted the one off box and nobody replied to my email to confirm the subscription was cancelled.
Since it will not be given until Christmas rather difficult to rate !
